Composite and PVC decking are made from synthetic products that are inherently resistant to moisture, rot, and insect damage; it requires little maintenance and has a lifespan of 25-50 years. A real wood deck has a lifespan of 10-20 years. Wood is vulnerable to rot, moisture, and insect damage and requires ongoing maintenance such as resealing every few years. Hidden fasteners attach deck boards to the joist below without being visible on the top surface of the deck. TimberTech has two hidden fastener systems: screws hidden by matching composite plugs, or clips that fit into grooves along the sides of the boards.
AZEK building products and TimberTech deck boards can be combined with any railing and post cap design. Classic Composite railing is available in white, black, and wood tones, with seven top rail profiles, matching post sleeves, and balusters in metal or composite. Aluminum railing is available from TimberTech’s Impression Rail collection in white, black, and bronze with four top rail profiles, and matching post sleeves and balusters. Glass channel kits are also available.
TimberTech produces the most realistic wood-look decking products available. The Vintage, Landmark, and Reserve collections offer wire-brushed surfaces for authentic wood texture.
All TimberTech deck boards are inherently scratch-resistant and engineered to retain their beautiful appearance for decades.
Wood deck boards can be replaced one-for-one with composite deck boards; just be aware you may need to add additional joists or support structures because composite deck boards are more flexible.
