Inspired by a love of art history, travel, and the master of interior design, Katie continuously seeks to innovate and evolve in her work. For Katie, the true reward in design is the positive impact it has on clients' lives, making every project a fulfilling experience.

Principal | Fiona Leonard Interiors
As principal of Fiona Leonard Interiors, Fiona creates spaces that build simplicity and beauty around everyday life. Her approach is to pare back each client’s desired aesthetic to its most essential form, then develop it through layered, livable selections. With palette, textiles, art, and objects that are consistently elevated and edited, she reflects a homeowner’s truest aspirations with finished designs that inspire a sense of place.
Prior to launching her eponymous design firm, Fiona honed her lifelong interest in art and design into the practical skills and craft of the trade through tenures at the firms of renowned designers. There she began cultivating relationships with foremost artisans, textile houses, craftsmen, and subcontractors throughout Fairfield County and New York City, which continue to serve her clients today. She lives in Darien, Connecticut with her husband, three children, and pampered pets.
Founder & Creative Director | MBM Designs
Melissa has been designing spaces, starting with her mother’s kitchen at the age of 7. She still remembers the satisfaction she felt when she placed her mother’s heirloom scarf on the kitchen floor to create a “walkway” and give more “flow” to the space. Her mother felt otherwise!
Melissa is the founder and creative director of MBM Design. She offers her clients full-service residential and commercial interior design coupled with strategic project management services. She has the expertise to take on projects of all sizes and complexities, ranging from single-family homes to multi-story residences and offices. In addition, she offers pre-construction design services and designs new construction homes in collaboration with her talented architectural and construction teams. She creates a personalized and tailored service for her clients. Each project is custom designed to meet her client’s lifestyle and desired level of functionality.
Being selective with the projects she takes on; she dedicates her time and talent to her clients and their projects. The end results are meticulously designed spaces filled with functionality, relaxation, and timeless style.
Melissa’s keen eye, creative flair, and pursuit of style are manifested in all her projects. She holds a master’s degree in communication, and her 14 years of design and project management experience allows her to effectively manage highly complex design projects. She has a laser focus on scope, schedule, and budget and keeps her clients informed and engaged throughout every phase of the project.
Along with her commitment to providing the highest quality work for her clients, she is an active member of the CT Home Builder’s and Remodeler’s Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the Interior Design Society, Connecticut Chapter. During her “free time,” she can be seen at local art galleries, cheering at swim meets, and finding design inspiration while traveling with her family.
