Ferbian is a Sales Associate at our flagship location in Darien. He has been with the company for 5 years. Ferbian's friendly smile and positive attitude are an inspiration to all of us at Ring's End!

Q: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what brought you to Ring’s End.

My name is Ferbian Salkie and I was born in Jamaica. I currently reside in Norwalk after moving to the USA with my father in 1996. I attended West Rock Middle School, then went on to attend Norwalk High School. I moved on to Porter and Chester Institute where I studied the HVAC trade, which led me to work for Casey's Sheet Metal in Norwalk for ten years. At that time I began to look for a new career which led to my friends and family recommending Ring's End. They spoke highly of it so I pursued it and after five years, I am glad of the opportunities that have arisen from the recommendation.

Q: What do you remember about your first day at Ring’s End?

I was given a position in the lumber yard in Lewisboro after applying for Inside Sales. My first day in the yard, I remember chasing down forklifts unsure if this recommendation was the best fit for me. I am glad I gave it a chance!

Q: What is the best advice you have ever been given?

The best advice I was given was to put my shoulder to the wheel and never settle and strive for a better life.

Q: What has stood out the most through your Ring’s End career?

Having been able to work at two different locations, the tenure of the great individuals I been given the pleasure to work with.
