    Overview
Solid Gold is the "Gold Standard" for solid (no finger-joints) interior and exterior trim. Solid Gold utilizes the patented Tru-Core treatment process resulting in 100%  penetration (heartwood and sapwood) of every board.  With no offensive odor, Solid Gold is ideal for all exterior and interior trim applications where a solid piece of trim is preferred over finger jointed products. Claymark finishes their solid clear Radiata Pine boards with the same "next generation" UV cured sealer and 100% acrylic primer system as used on Centurion to help prevent tannin and resin bleed, providing better topcoat adhesion and flexibility.

  • Storing and Handling - While storing Solid Gold it is important to keep it dry and off the ground using blocks. If you’re storing it outside always use a waterproof cover, but allow good airflow to avoid condensation.
  • Installation - Ensure cut ends and mitre cuts are primed with 100% acrylic paints. Always follow the paint manufacturer’s label instructions. Always hand nail where possible to help protect the factory coating.
  • Finishing - Before painting ensure all loose material and dirt has been removed from the product. Finish with two coats of 100% acrylic paint, applied as soon as possible but no more than 120 days after installation.
  • Heat - As wood is a natural product, and resin is a natural component of pine, if Solid Gold products are exposed to extreme heat, especially when painted in a dark colour, resin bleed may occur.
  • Moisture - To protect against dimensional change, applying the manufacturer’s recommended painting specification will provide protection against moisture uptake.
  • Limited Warranty - Claymark warrants that: For fifty (50) years after the date of its sale by Claymark, Solid Gold™ product will not become structurally unserviceable because of fungal decay/ rot or termite attack
