SIMIRON U-TINT is a line of universal pigment packs. They are 100% solids, zero VOC and designed to easily mix into Simiron urethane and polyaspartic coatings. U-Tints can also be used to color epoxies and polyurea coatings. Simiron U-Tint packs exhibit excellent color consistency and stability for in-field tinting and application, which allows greater flexibility for applicators. They are available in a convenient pint-sized can, allowing for the tinting of multiple sizes of resin.

Mixing Ratios:

  • 1 pint per gallon Simthane HWU and ESD.
  • 1 pint per 2 gallons Polyaspartic HS.
  • 1 pint per 1.5 gallons Polyurea Basecoat Neutral.
  • 1 pint per 1, 1.5, and 3 gallon units of epoxy (for epoxy only, hide can be improved by doubling up on U-Tint; 2 pints White and Sandstone per 3-gallon kit).

Application:

  1. Prior to use determine the correct tint pack size depending on volume of material being mixed. Add 1 pint per 1-gallon kit Simthane HWU and ESD. Add 1 pint per 2-gallon kit Polyaspartic HS. Add 1 pint per 1.5-gallon kit Polyurea Basecoat Neutral. Add 1 pint per 1, 1.5, and 3-gallon kits epoxy (2 pints White and Sandstone can be added to 3 gallons).
  2. Pre-mix the tint pack to ensure there is no hard settling prior to use.
  3. Add entire tint pack to the urethane part B, fully mixed Simthane ESD, polyaspartic, polyurea, or epoxy Base. Mix for 1-2 minutes until color is consistent.
  4. Add the remaining parts to the premix and mix per the corresponding product instructions.
  5. Apply topcoats, primers, or build coats per the instructions on product technical data sheet.
