It bonds to a wide variety of materials without need for a primer such as fiber cement, cedar, brick, stone, XPS, EPS, coated aluminum, steel, fiberglass, vinyl, PVC, stucco, EIFS, wood, glass, concrete, masonry, flashing tapes and most architectural  coatings/finishes.
