Working through the rough winter, digging down twice as far as required for the footings to reach undisturbed soil, and a lot of shoveling are just some of the challenges builder Steve Lanefsky of Executive Craftsman and architect Matt Dougherty faced during construction of this custom rear porch in Darien, CT. But challenges were made to be overcome as evidenced by the photos that follow of this spectacular outdoor oasis with custom amenities.

At Ring’s End, our job is to make your job easier. Steve turned to Michelle Tobey and Bill Gargano to provide the quality custom products demanded by this project.

The highlight of this custom rear porch with distinct living and dining areas is the special order tongue and groove mahogany flooring.

A two-sided outdoor gas fireplace with reclaimed lumber for the mantle, automatic gas lighters and a built in area for wood storage serves both the porch and the patio.

Recessed lighting, surround sound speakers and skylights add the finishing touches to this state-of-the-art outdoor living space.
