Our #3 & Btr. Western Red Cedar is surfaced on one side and two edges. It is graded for the resawn side, which is rough in texture. The other side is smooth, but may have mill skips. Typically for exterior use, this is a square edged product with some varying size and quantity of knots and streaks, giving it a more rustic appearance than clear cedar. #3 Red Cedar can vary in from dark reddish-brown to a light yellow. While sun exposure can turn red cedar to a gray color over time without treatment, we recommend an exterior finish to protect your investment.
