Eddie Abbiati Manager of Niantic Rings End

Eddie Abbiati has worked in Niantic for 42 years, starting at 3 years old, of course! His first 23 years were spent at Niantic Lumber. In 1998 Niantic Lumber merged with Ring’s End and Eddie has been affiliated with Ring’s End for the past 19 years. Eddie’s career began in the yard. He has held many positions since then, such as Assistant Foreman, Inside Sales, Purchasing, Assistant Manager and now General Manager.

Eddie has seen many changes in the industry over the course of his career. The most significant change is the widespread use of the Internet as a research tool, creating a more educated, savvy consumer. We are seeing a trend of customers coming in to discuss their projects and have their research validated.

The biggest takeaway from sitting down with Eddie is that he enjoys coming to work every day. Eddie loves working at Ring’s End for the longevity of the employees. Being able to build relationships and friendships over time makes a big impact.

The best advice is that honesty is always the best policy. That is what I tell my team and how I work with them and with our customers.

3 – If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

I would want the power to heal any illness.

4 – What 3 words would you use to describe what it has meant to work at Ring’s End?

Joyful. Different every day and Enjoyable. We are part office and part Cheers.

5 – What 3 words would your coworkers use to describe you?

You need to take a poll and ask the team. We did, and the team said Eddie is: Unassuming, Fun and Easy Going.
